The first Monday night mountain bike race on Mt. Pleasant has been recorded. It didn’t rain. It wasn’t a holiday. A small number of people showed up. We had a good time. Since the abilitiy levels were varied, we chose to ride a few practice laps together and then try some Time Trial laps, seeing if we could keep improving our lap times. Nobody would be surprised that Matt Belknap turned the fastest lap, but he claims to be so out of shape that it’s possible that others might top it in future attempts. Perhaps Dan Fish or Andy Melnychenko will join us next week. There are plenty of other fast people out there, and if enough of them show up, we’ll get some really good races in. C’mon out !!! We meet at Swan Cycles on Mt. Pleasant Rd. ready to head onto the trails at 6:00 PM every Monday evening. Glenn Swan |
