The first Finger Lakes Cycling Club trip will take place the weekend of May 17-18 to Ludlow, Vermont. Arriving either Friday night or as early as possible on Saturday, we will have Saturday to explore the area by foot or bike. On Sunday we will participate in the Great Vermont Rivers Century, with rides of 25 and 50 miles as well as the 100 miler. Overnight accomodations will be at the Trojan Horse Lodge in Ludlow, a hostel with six-to-a-room bunks. Expenses: The hostel is $15 per night (less for AYH members). Participation in the century is $15 per person. The Century ride provides food; for the rest, some of us will be planning simple common meals that should cost very little. So, for those who go Friday, the total cost will be $45 plus a little for food and gas. We will arrange transportation to minimize the number of vehicles involved in this. With a couple of minivans with good roof racks we should be able to take a lot of folks. If you would like to go, please submit your intentions and a $15 deposit (for the lodgings) to Andrejs right away. |
