Wine Country Bike Tour The 11th Annual Wine Country Bike Tour of the Finger Lakes region is scheduled for June 25–June 27, 1999. New this year is a one-day ride, on June 27. Other riders will have a choice of a 20-mile or 45-mile ride. This is a fund-raiser for the American Lung Association of Rochester, New York. These scenic rides through the Finger Lakes region, along the shores of Seneca and Cayuga lakes, provide an opportunity for both beginning and experienced cyclists to enjoy a carefree, three-day weekend or an overnight excursion. The tour is designed to allow cyclists to set their own pace. There will be rest stops with food, drink, and entertainment every 10 to 15 miles. All riders get a limited edition Bike Trek T-shirt. The three-day ride includes breakfast and dinner, plus two nights’ lodging at Ithaca and Wells colleges (including towels and linens, double occupancy). For more information or to volunteer to help, call Tina or Ellen at the Rochester American Lung Association office, 716-442-4260. They are especially going to need help with the new one-day ride. New York Road Racing? I am looking for some road-racing events that are taking place in New York State, to update a web page that I am working on. Some were provided to me by the regional representative, but it is not a complete list. If you know of an event that is not on the list at the URL shown below, I would love to have that information so that I can add it to the web page. Thank you.
