BUCK HILL CYCLOCROSS

A New York State Cyclocross Series Event

  • Sunday October 27, 2002
  • 59 Buck Hill Rd South in Mecklenburg NY, 10 miles West of Ithaca
  • Registration opens at 9:30
  • RACE STARTS AT 11:00 am
  • All races are 1 hour plus 1 lap
  • All categories start together


  • Categories: Juniors, Open, Masters. Men and Women for each Category
  • Entry Fee: $15 Open and Masters, $10 Juniors and 1 day licenses available for $5

RACE NOTES

  • USCF rules apply; Held under USCF permit
  • Mountain bikes allowed with barends removed
  • Approved helmet required on all riders at all times between beginning of registration to final awarding of prizes
  • Entrants under 18 years old require parent/guardian signature
  • Everything is subject to change or modification without notice
  • Snacks and refreshments for all

COURSE

  • A fast cyclocross event: a mix of fields, woods, gravel and blacktop with barrier dismounts throughout the course.

DIRECTIONS

Buck Hill Road is located halfway between Ithaca and Watkins Glen.

  • From the East: Take Rt. 79 west from Ithaca 10 miles to Schuyler County line. Turn left on Buck Hill Rd. South.
  • From the West: Take Rt. 79 East from Watkins Glen 10 miles. Go through Mecklenburg; proceed 1 mile to Tompkins county line; turn Right on Buck Hill Rd. South.
  • From the North: Exit 42 NY Thruway. Take route 14 South to Watkins Glen then follow directions "From the West".
